UKOnAir.com closed on Sunday 30th September.

Following the announcement of closure, Media UK offered to purchase this domain from the owner. (Your personal info didn't come with the sale, don't worry. We didn't even ask.)

Where do I go now to discuss UK radio?
We're biased, of course: but we think our own radio discussion area is quite good. With over 10,000 users, we're one of the largest discussion areas; but because we insist on real names and keep this area private, the quality of the debate is pretty impressive. We'd like to invite you to register.

I don't have an "identity verifiable email address"
Don't panic. While we do insist on real names, we're happy to help you register (you'll find webmail and ISP-based addresses are a bit difficult). Contact us and let us know your old username on UKOnAir.com, and we'll look at your application as quick as we can.

What else is on Media UK for radio?
Glad you asked. Everything from a full directory, to radio jobs, radio news, and more stuff like that. If you want to listen, we've all the official radio station website players. We're full of email alerts and RSS feeds, and you can even edit the directory yourself. Finally, we also offer a suite of services, including free email, at mediauk.net - perfect for the radio freelancer.

What are your plans for ukonair.com?
Well, we know how hard it is to run forums, and what a thankless task it is: so we're pleased to have been able to allow the owner of ukonair.com to get some cash out of the whole thing.
Media UK's immediate plan is to attract those users of ukonair.com, like you, and show them how splendid mediauk.com is. We hope we've at least partly succeeded.
But it's quite a nice domain-name, and lends itself to a different way of using Media UK's directory data - this time, for the casual radio listener rather than the radio professional. And we'll stop capitalising it in a funny way.
